Oh, the good life

I like camping because......I get to eat outside...I get to play outside...I get to wear daddy's hat to keep bugs off of my head...I snuggle with mom when I want to be snuggled ...and when we go hiking, I get a front row seat to all the action!...(until I fall asleep)
Isn't camping fun?

Camping!

Here's all I've got until my friends send me pictures from their cameras (Matt with Charlie in the Baby Bjorn???) Charlie was the best camper!

Swinging at grandma's

At the park in Decatur, IL--we went to visit Gigi this past weekend!!! Charlie's first trip on the swings and he loved it.

I'm 5 months!

I like...sleeping on my side or back, playing in my exersaucer, swinging in my swing (awake!), watching the other babies at daycare, sitting in my bumbo, EVERYTHING in my mouth, long walks in the stroller, touching daddy's face, and petting my doggie, Lexie. There's not really anything that I don't like....
...except when mom doesn't feed me fast enough. I even like laying on my tummy now (and love rolling over)! And clearly, I love milk...and I just started baby food and I seem to like that too! (avacado and sweet potatoes so far). Stats to follow after my 6 month well-baby checkup.

Bethany and Ryan's Wedding

Last weekend we went to Kalamazoo for Bethany's wedding (my friend from college) and Charlie got to meet a lot of our friends! The weather was much cooler than planned so we had to go "comfy and warm" rather than "dressy and cute" but he's a baby so he pulls it off :) We had a blast.

I can (sort of) sit up all by myself!

Goodbye dead tree

Every storm that comes through our area, we lose another branch from our poor redbud tree in our front yard. We finally decided that it was time to come down--so this weekend my dad brough his tools over and he & Scott had it cleared away in less than 2 hours! I'm sad to lose the shade (as pathetic as it was) but we'll be planting another tree soon...as soon as we can get the stump removed! Lexie, the shift supervisor (and head stick shredder)
The huge stump...
...and our poor front yard with no shade! Updated pics will come after we re-landscape.
