Easter and Baptism

Easter was a fun filled weekend for us this year.  Saturday brought a beautiful day for the annual Miller Easter Egg hunt-our crew gets bigger and bigger every year.  All three kids loved the hunt this year, especially the prizes (Erin loves to throw a party!)

The rest of the weekend was spent with family.  About 18 months ago, we started attending Christ Community Midtown (actually, I started attending a Mothers of Preschooler's group sponsored by the church, and then decided to try the service).  Since I was raised Catholic, and Scott Presbyterian, we were married Methodist and then never really found a church home.  We have loved our time at Midtown.  We decided to become members last fall.  Midtown used to rent space from another church, and then moved worship to Rivi for a short while before buying a really neat historical building at 56th/Broadway.  After renovations (a lot of sweat equity from the entire church body), we held our first church service in the new (old) building on Easter Sunday.

None of our children had yet been baptized, so we decided to have all three baptized on Easter in the new building--a special and memorable way to celebrate.  Our entire families were in attendance (Scott's parents drove in from PA and everyone else now lives in town).  These pictures were taken from my mom's iphone but its the best we have.   Surprisingly, none of the kids even cried!  They know the Pastor, Corey, very well so they were in familiar hands.

Spring break continued...

I don't have many words for these.  Mostly because it was months ago and I hardly remember being there (kidding...sort of).  Just got on to upload new pictures and realized I never posted the photo shoot from our Spring Break trip in Captiva.  Enjoy!

This is the one I meant to print and frame for Father's Day.  And then I forgot.  Classic.
