Historic Georgetown Railroad
Still a few more pictures from Colorado. Our last day in the mountains, we took a historic train tour. The track itself is only a few miles long, but it took almost an hour for the down-and-back trek. Charlie loved it!

Colorado Recap...through the eyes of my phone
In no true order since that takes too much time...Enjoy!
Winter Park resort (please note that Charlie is SOBBING because he doesn't want Scott near that scary bear)

My grandpa made this rocking horse for my older brother, Ryan, when he was probably 2 years old...an antique ;) Lost his mane over the years...
Compliments of Karen's phone...Charlie waiting for his food at the Grand Lake Brewing Co (we waited a LONG time...great beer, terrible service)
C slept on an aerobed...most of the time ;)
Sam sound asleep at another brewery (see a trend? we're on vacation)...I didn't know I was in the picture. We sent this one to Scott and he responded "Sam's a lightweight...out after only 2 ounces of beer"
Pole Creek Golf Course...I had the chance to play twice (well...9 holes twice...can't leave too long with a nursing baby!)
Charlie riding the motorcycle at the park in the town of Winter Park
Charlie's favorite part of the trip: the construction site a few lots over where they're building a new house. We went at least twice a day so he could see all the huge machinery at work.
Wagon ride to the construction site!
Hiking with Grandpa...who was begging for Scott to come back within hours of Scott leaving!

Sam is five months old...
It's hard for me to believe that Sam is five months old already. Where has the time gone!?!
This Colorado trip has brought about some big changes for Sam. Not only did we cut out his "nighttime" feeding (4am), he started sleeping through the night) AND we completely cut out the swaddle! So now he's sleeping in a sleep sack, puts himself to sleep, and comforts himself back to sleep. Huge milestone in our house. We might even put him in his crib in Charlie's room when we get home!
Additionally, he rolled over for the first time when we first arrived here in Colorado (actually, within 5 minutes of arrival!). It took him a week to figure out how to do it again; but since then he has been rolling over frequently (back to tummy)

He's still fussy in the evenings (most likely we need to move his bedtime earlier) but other than that, he's become a pretty happy baby! He loves having people around, and there are always people here...so I hope it continues once we're back at our (relatively) quiet Indiana house.
No "solids" for Sam yet, although we'll probably start him on avocado (yum! Charlie's first food too...excellent nutrition) within a few weeks, definitely by the time he hits 6 months.
-He nurses 5x/day now, on a loose schedule (7:30, 11:30, 3, 6, 8)
-He takes one long nap a day (usually like 12:30-2:30) and several shorter naps
-Wearing mostly 9 month clothes (but some 6 mo still fit)
-Almost sitting on his own...looses balance when he dives for a toy and not sturdy enough for me to leave him alone
-Loves watching Charlie play, usually from the exersaucer or something that keeps him upright
-Still spits up a lot, but getting better
-Loves to talk, coo, and screech
-No longer screams every time we're in the car! We're down to, maybe, 15-20% of the time (from 90% haha)
-Loves the Colorado weather...he's happy whenever he's outside and it seems to wear him out too!
We're on our way back home to Indiana today...goodbye perfect Colorado weather, hello heat and humidity!

Happy 4th!
We didn't do much of the "traditional" 4th of July celebrations, but took a few pictures anyways. The weather, of course, was beautiful all afternoon, and we finished the evening with a bonfire and the Fraser fireworks (although Charlie didn't want to stay up...that kid loves his bed)

Charlie's really into construction vehicles and my dad made the mistake of pretending he was Cranky the Crane (from Thomas the Tank Engine)...and was worn out as Charlie kept saying "Again!"
