Happy New Year! (4 weeks late)

We came back to Indy on the 30th and the Crossleys came to visit and spend the New Years with us!  We've only seen Hannah once since our Colorado trip last summer and the visit was brief.  The kids have grown a lot since then, and Hannah has a ton of hair!  Ryan and Karen bought Christmas gifts for the boys--Sam got "Scout", who sings and talks to Sam (its programmable, pretty cool)
Charlie got a helicopter and police car--still a favorite at our house!
Taking a ride in the dump truck...

Hannah ended up staying up to ring in the New Years with us (actually, we missed the official ball drop because we had the TV on pause, haha, so we celebrated a few minutes late).  I love getting together with Ryan & Karen and it will be so much fun to watch our kids grow up together!

Sledding!

I had this post up and ready and for some reason blogger deleted it...just a few more Colorado pictures!  We decided to take the boys into town to go sledding one morning; they weren't sure what to think.  Sam was tired and it was cold so he hung out in the Beco babycarrier most of the time, but Charlie went down the hill a few times!  He didn't like the tube sled much (his Christmas present) and mostly rode in the LLBean sled that was intended for Sam :)

Love that you can see the ski slopes in the backs of these pictures...

Colorado Tree House

The Colorado house has a loft...this trip it was the "treehouse" and kept Charlie busy for hours (now that he can go up and down the stairs himself without us worrying!)  The perfect place for a fort, his tents and tunnel (present from my brother Ryan and his wife Amanda) and his car tracks!

Much more fun than anything we have at our house here in Indy :)

Christmas Morning

Merry Christmas (a few weeks late!)
I wish I had recorded Charlie's reaction when he saw the presents under the tree...priceless.
Opening stockings...

Sam's turtle night light (really, for both boys since they share a room...to replace the Christmas tree that has been acting as a night light for December!)
Charlie, testing out the tube sled!

My two reindeer...(the noses actually flash!)

Poor Sam was showing signs of sickness on our way out (on the 23rd) and by that night, had a raging fever (103...yikes) and was inconsolable.  Winter Park is a small town...and the Safeway didn't have infant tylenol, so Scott bought the children's.  One late night call to a friend (thanks Erin), a pharmacist, and a few doses of medicine later, Sam was feeling much better.  By the 25th he was back to his old self (and was off all meds), fortunately.  A Christmas to remember!
