Photo session with Charlie

We were able to spend a full week in Winter Park--yay!  The mountains are really short on snow this year, so the skiing was very sub-par (compared to what we're used to!!!  still way better than Indiana skiing ha) but we still had a blast...several posts to come.  I took these pictures of Charlie our first day, in my parent's front yard...isn't the view AMAZING?

Rainy Day Fun

A few weeks ago, the weather was balmy and I told Charlie we could go for a bike ride.  All ready to go, on the bike (and Sam in the stroller), and it starts to rain...and Charlie starts his cry routine.  As a compromise, I told him he could play in the rain!  He had a blast.

(the rain getting a little too heavy for my comfort...)
The aftermath...a wet happy boy headed to a warm bath!

Baker Family Christmas

This time of year is full of traditions, and I feel like every post begins with "Every year..."  :)
Every year, the Baker family (my mom's family) gets together for the Baker Family Christmas, usually the weekend before Christmas.  When I was  young, it was a madhouse, with all 13 cousins running around...an all day food fest full of presents.  Now that we're older, cousins are spread from the east to west coast, and we (sadly) don't often have a full house, but it's fun to see family!  My Aunt Ruth has hosted the past few years.
Jack, my cousin Amy's little boy (he's 1.5 yrs old, right in between Charlie and Sam)

Charlie and his new travel train set--a hit!

Sam checking out his shape hammer set...a big hit with both boys :)

The boys received several great presents, including not one, but TWO bulldozers for Charlie...we have our own construction site at the Collevechio house now!

Breakfast with Santa

Each year, Delta Faucet hosts a "Breakfast with Santa" for employees and families.  Remember last year?
This year, much like last, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, balloon candy canes, decorating cookies, and high fives for the dressed up characters.  Once again, also like last year, we did NOT enjoy sitting with Santa.  We did manage to capture a few "almost smile" pictures.

Yea...Rudolf is like 10 feet tall.  Scary for me, magical for Charlie.  And yet the Santa scared him??

This picture was taken right before the tears started :) (I agree, Sam, Santa is creepy looking this year)
(a much safer distance to check out this guy...)
Charlie was happy here, until Santa put his hands on him and tried to pull him over.  Immediately turned to a protest. (Scott, you get a cookie for such a good smile.  Good boy.)

(we may or may not have bribed him with the present that Santa was giving all the little boys and girls...for Charlie, a really nice Crayola dry erase crayon set)
